MoDaCo.SWITCH For HTC One Hits Public Beta, Launches Indiegogo For S4 Version

modaco.switchOver the last few weeks, we’ve been enthralled by the work of Paul O’Brien who as part of MoDaCo has created a ROM for the HTC One called the MoDaCo.SWITCH which includes both a Sense 5 ROM and the stock Android ROM from the HTC One Google Play Edition. The key thing here is that the ROMs can be switched from within the OS and that the ROMs actually share data, apps and passwords included. If you’ve forgotten what that looks like, then have a watch of the video below in which Paul demos the MoDaCo.SWITCH:

Pretty cool stuff, right? Late last week, the MoDaCo.SWITCH started its public Beta meaning it is available to everyone now with a HTC One now. In that same post, Paul also mentions that there has been a lot of interest in a version of MoDaCo.SWITCH which has the same functions but for a Samsung Galaxy S4. To fuel the development and general support for the whole MoDaCo.SWITCH project, there has been an Indiegogo project set up to accept contributions towards MoDaCo. As it stands, the project is sitting at £837 of its £1,000 goal, so give generously to get them over the hump. There might even be a t-shirt in it for you.

Who’s going to try the MoDaCo.SWITCH on their HTC One? And who would be interested in getting the SWITCH on their Galaxy S4? Let us know in the comments.
