A new update is rolling out  for the Motorola Camera and the associated Motorola Gallery apps today. Both updates bring in some new Material Design elements to the UI that are sure to please many die-hard Android fans out there. The visual makeover is a nice addition and certainly does look a bit nicer. It will really look fantastic when they all have Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Along with the UI makeover, the Camera app also gets some additional special features/functions. There is a new”twist” feature that will take you from the rear camera to the front facing camera. That new twist feature is only supported on the Moto X, Droid Ultra and Droid Turbo though. Those devices, plus all others, will be gaining a timer mode though. I know, that isn’t much of a consolation package, but with the Material Design changes, it is better than nothing.
On the Motorola Gallery front you get some performance improvements along with that Material Design update. Check out the difference in the images below. The first image is before the update while the remaining two are afterwards.
