Motorola India jumps the gun, announces Motorola Moto G 3rd gen a few hours early

So time differences are a thing. Even though the official Motorola announcement event happening in London, New York City and Sao Paulo is still hours away, Motorola India has decided to get festivities underway early by announcing the Motorola Moto G 3rd gen. According to its Twitter account, Motorola India is live tweeting its launch event which has revealed the Moto G has an IPX7 rating, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, 5-inch 720p display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor.

Notably absent from Motorola India’s launch is any mention of customization because standard back covers – no doubt because Moto Maker is restricted to the US. There was one interesting tidbit from the event which was that the Moto G 3rd gen will have Quick Capture, a feature that allows you to take photos with the flick of your wrist – this feature has previously only featured on the Moto X. We’re not sure of Motorola India has anything else to share, but we may have to wait until the big event before we get to see the Moto X and – fingers crossed – a new Moto 360 smartwatch.
