Motorola, LG and Samsung tablets from Verizon in Q4 !

We know that Verizon and Google are teaming up to introduce an Android tablet, that will break the Apple iPad’s back. Verizon’s CEO is back again with some new words, this time he said that:

Customers should expect that the first tablets will be Android devices from contenders including Motorola, Samsung and LG. These Android tablets will go head to head with Apple’s iPad and Verizon expects to sell many of these gadgets in the fourth quarter.

We still we don’t have any words on specs, release dates and pricing, but you can see that Verizon CEO said “Fourth- Quarter”. Motorola is already a very close partner of Verizon, so I think Motorola will be Verizon’s first choice. We also saw nVIDIA taking interest in Android, they said that customers will see the nVIDIA Tegra 2 in next generation Android devices, so can we expect that in Google tablet?

Verizon is really working hard, they aim to cover 30 markets with 1 billion customers in 2010, and Verizon will also reveal at least 5 4G LTE powered devices by May 2011, and the companies to provide the 4G phones are:

  • Motorola
  • HTC
  • LG
  • RIM

Well, I am kinda sure that Motorola, HTC, and LG will provide Android powered phone.

It will be interesting to see if Verizon hits their goal.
