Motorola takes a $50 chunk out of the Motorola DROID XYBoard price Tag

Motorola DROID XYBoard

If you’re looking to purchase a new Android tablet (one that’s not the Asus Transformer Prime), word has it that Verizon is dropping the price on the Motorola DROID XYBoard by $50 — ALREADY. Of course, this could have something to do with the device’s lack of expandable memory, or horribly placed buttons. Heck, it could even be because the device has one of the most ridiculous names of any Android device on the planet. But in all likelihood, this is probably just Verizon waking up to smell the coffee and realizing, “Hey, we’re charging way too much for this thing.”

For those unaware, you’ve got to sign your life away (or 2 years of it at least) to get the $50 discount — and that still leaves you paying $479. If you want to pick one without the contract, your wallet is still going to take a $599.99 hit for the 8-inch model, and $699.99 for the 10-inch. Ri-dic-u-lous!
