[New App] Adobe rolls out Photoshop Touch for Phones, Finally

Photoshop Touch phone
Before you go ranting, yes, Photoshop Touch has been out for a while. Just only in a tablet only compatible format. Which was fantastic if you had a compatible tablet to run the software on. With devices like the Samsung Galaxy Note and Note II having a fairly massive screen and stylus, people wanted the same treatment on their phones. Sadly the tablet version wouldn’t be allowed to be installed. That all just changed a little bit ago.

Adobe has now released Photoshop Touch for phone. Bringing all the same amazing features of the tablet version to the smaller screens. Now users of near tablet sized devices and smaller can really dig into images and create some amazing works of art.

The app offers quite a lot of cross integration between the various Photoshop Suites. If you own the tablet version and this new phone version you can start a project on one device and finish it on another. If you have Photoshop CS5 or later on your computer you can do the same thing across all three. This requires you to be using Adobe Creative Cloud to cross projects back and forth. I know Photoshop is an amazing piece of software, but I personally haven’t spent any time using it. Those of you that use it constantly are sure to be happy about this release. Below are a few screenshots, a short video of the app and the link to pick it up in the Play Store. The app comes in at 20MB’s, require Android 4.0 or higher and will set you back a mild $4.99.
