Official EVO 4G Gingerbread ROM Leaked

According to recent news and a email received by a user, the HTC EVO 4G has been confirmed as getting a Gingerbread update some time in Q2 between April and June along with the Thunderbolt. Of course this inspires nail biting anticipation for those users not already running some variant of Android 2.3, like CM7 or MIUI. For those of you that have been waiting and are willing to flash the next big things, it seems  the official ROM has leaked.

According to the software information listedit’s sporting Android 2.3.3 offering enhancements beyond that of just Gingerbread. It should be noted that this could be a test ROM or a potentially buggy build so precautions should be taken for those preparing to load it up. Like most leaked HTC ROMs a copy can be obtained from 911HTC.

[While we support development, we do not take responsibility for anything that happens to your device upon flashing software. If your device gets bricked, your dog eats it, or it self-destructs, we’re throwing our hands up. Not in celebration of course, however if that last thing happens get it on video. It would make a nice post. Have fun. =)]
