Official Wikipedia app now available in the Android Market

 

The official Wikipedia app has finally arrived in the Android Market — that sure seemed to take forever, didn’t it? Released last week and already receiving some pretty good feedback, the official app comes to us thanks to Wikimedia Foundation and does exactly what it should do — give fast access to Wikipedia without too much glitz or glam. After all, who needs all that garb when you’re just trying to do some quick, on-the-fly research? The download is 558k, available for free, and requires Android 2.2 or higher.
