OPPO N1 Release Date Confirmed To Be December 10, 2013

oppo n1 release dateLast month, smartphone manufacturer OPPO promised that the release date for its highly anticipated “CyanogenMod phone”, the OPPO N1, was on track to be released for sale internationally in December, though has been reluctant to give any solid dates, till today. On their Google+ page, OPPO has confirmed that the OPPO N1 release date is going to be December 10th, 2013, selling for either $599 USD or €449, though OPPO didn’t specify whether this price was for the 16GB or 32GB version.

The OPPO N1 has definitely been an Android community favourite seeing as the phone is backed by Cyanogen Inc., the newly formed company that teamed up with OPPO to release this phone which is fondly referred to as the CyanogenMod phone. Curiously missing from OPPO’s announcement is any mention of whether this release will allow CyanogenMod to be chosen as the primary OS or not, but either way, the phone should have the ability to load CyanogenMod up in no time at all.

Early reviews of the OPPO N1 have said that the phone is generally good, though its party piece, its 13-megapixel swiveling camera is generally described as mediocre unless you’re the type of person to want high definition selfies. It’s also on the large side at 5.9-inches, however for most people, its draw is its software and its connection to CyanogenMod will definitely be the determining factor for some. Who’s going to be ordering an OPPO N1 on December 10th? Let us know in the comments.
