Photos of the Motorola Moto X 3rd gen get leaked out

We’ve heard lots about the Moto G that Motorola intends to release this year, however we haven’t heard as much about the Motorola Moto X 3rd gen. Today, we get one of our best looks at the device thanks to some leaked photos, and unsurprisingly, it shares the same design language as the leaked photos of the Moto G that we have seen – overall, the shape of the device is the same, however the back of the device has changed to join the rear camera to the little dimple with the Motorola logo in it with a plastic strip. Check out the photos below:

There isn’t a huge amount that we can glean from these photos – it’s alleged the Moto X will have a 5.2-inch display, and we see that the dual front speakers return again. The source of the leak claims that there is also a fingerprint sensor embedded in the bottom speaker grille, though we’re pretty sceptical about this. And it’s rumoured that the Moto G will have IPX7 water resistance, so we hope the Moto X gets the same treatment. Motorola is due to have an event held on July 28th so we’re quietly hopeful that Motorola announces all its new devices at this event including the Moto X, Moto G, Moto E and new Moto 360 – here’s to hoping.
