Places Functionality Now Featured on Google Mobile Webpage

Upon your mobile web browsing this morning you’ve likely come across the Google search webpage at least once and if you happened to glance at the bottom of page you’d have noticed a few new buttons were added. For the average Android users these buttons aren’t unfamiliar as their also featured in our Google maps application when performing searches for nearby places. In the same fashion that you’d search for nearby by businesses in that application, the new additions to the Google webpage allow the same Places interactions while mobile browsing allowing you to find restaurants, ATMs, and more. Starting a search using these buttons will split the results page with a map/list view of your query allowing for easy navigation.

If you’ve yet to use these new functions head over to the Google webpage and take them for a spin. Let us know what you think.
