Quick Look: Root Call Blocker

I’m sure, even if not at this very moment, you’ve all been plagued by bill collectors or random solicitors blowing up your phones. When the idea of blocking a number comes to mind, whether it be a specific person or an anonymous caller, you don’t want to hear anything, you just want them to go away. XDA member ftgg99 and Fahrbot Mobile have released an application that does just that.

Root Call Blocker allows call blocking on a system level, which also allows a network state reply. The blocker features blocking of unknown, network state IDs, and allows you to add your own as well. The best thing about all this is, your phone never rings.

Current features:

– Your phone never rings
– Reject calls from any number, including those with “blocked” network ids
– Choose a network reply (Reject or Dont answer)
– Use profiles to merge different black/ white lists
– Detailed logging
– Rejected call notifications

The current project is still in beta form, meaning some bugs could be present. If this app is something you’ve been looking for feel free to swing by the market via the link below and grab a copy. If you have any issues or simply want give appreciation, be sure to visit the XDA thread and let the developers know.
