[Rumor] Insider confirms March 15 for Samsung Galaxy S IV Unpacked Event

Samsung Galaxy S III
Samsung has been making headlines all over the world lately. New phones being announced, loyalty to the brand out doing Apple and anything anyone sees of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S IV. We all know Mobile World Congress is approaching, but Samsung is smart enough to wait and hold their own major announcement event. It has worked out well for them on the last two Galaxy S launches, why mess that up and let the new flagship device get buried in a slew of other news at MWC.

An insider has confirmed to SamMobile that Samsung will be hosting an Unpacked Event on March 15th. Samsung hasn’t confirmed it officially, nor has anyone mentioned a location for it just yet. They also say that the Galaxy S IV will go on sale in the second week of April. Which pegs down everything everyone has been speculating, an April release. Don’t go freaking out though. Europe and Asia are expected to see it available in April, while the U.S., Australia and Africa is said to see it in May / June. Things could change before the announcement though.

This is all according to an inside source of course. As much as we would all like to believe it, without official word it is just hearsay. It does all play right into the thoughts and history of previous Galaxy S announcements and releases though.

We expect to start seeing official invites to the Unpacked Event hitting press inboxes shortly after MWC, which is from February 25th to the 28th. So expect to see those invites floating around by at least the 1st of March. The date might change, but if they are aiming for a March announcement, they better get things rolling. Hey, they have to give everyone plenty of time to book hotels and catch flights right?
