[Rumor] T-Mobile Getting the HTC One X with Quad-core and Stock Ice Cream Sandwich?!

OH LET IT BE TRUE! Rumors about new phones get me excited and piss me off all in the span of a day. When I saw this one I nearly pissed my pants. T-Mobile just might be getting the HTC One X with the lovely Tegra 3 quad-core chip under its hood. I would be all over some quad-core with stock ICS. You read that correctly, STOCK ICS. Apparently rumor has it that it will not have Sense covering that beautiful stock ICS. Of course, these are all just rumors. Many of you T-Mobile users probably got just as excited as me when you saw the heading to this post. I would probably go as far as waiting in line outside T-Mobile like a good little Android geek. Okay I will just pre-order it.

Two little details to talk about though. First, we have all heard that the Tegra 3 chips are not playing nice with LTE. So since both Verizon and AT&T are running LTE, and Sprint is rumored to be getting the dual-core One X variant; why can’t T-Mobile get the quad-core bad boy of the new HTC family? The Tegra 3 chip should be able to support the HSPA+ network. Although we do not know this for certain that it will run on HSPA+, sources do say that it should. By sources I mean a bunch of us T-Mobile Android nerds with our fingers crossed.

The second detail is that it has been looking like  T-Mobile has been talking to LG on keeping their G-series phones alive. The name “G4X” has been coming up today, so it is looking like the G-series shall live on. So why not both phones? I do not see why not. T-Mobile needs to spend some of that AT&T money and get some ICS running Superman phones out in the wild, while they get their LTE rumored to be hitting the atmosphere in 2013.

As much as I would love to continue my Android ride with a G-series phone, I really hope this rumor about the quad-core HTC One phone is true. I will be keeping a close eye on this one. Tell me what you guys have heard about this down below.
