If crazy huge HD screens, the latest Android OS and blazing fast quad-core chips aren’t your thing, then maybe you will aim your sights at the Samsung Galaxy Beam. As a device, the specs are fairly normal. It has a4-inch 480×800 WVGA screen, 1GHz dual-core processor and Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) on board. Rocking a normal 5MP camera with flash and a small bit of on board storage at 8GB with MicroSD slot. Nothing about the device jumps out as something that you will need to worry about looking to purchase. That is when the rest of the specs hit you like a semi truck and stop you dead in your tracks. The Beam with actually have a 15 lumens projector built-in. Ya, you read that right. The projector is supposedly capable of projecting a crisp, high-definition projection up to 50″ wide.  To help power your movie theater in your pocket, Samsung upped the battery to a 2000 mAh.

I can already in vision myself dropping a sheet from the trees and watching a movie while I am camping. Yes, I would do that, just because I could. I can’t wait to see a live demo of this device to see just how good the projected image looks. What about the rest of you. Is a movie theater in your pocket something you will jump on?
