Samsung Galaxy Blaze Q getting rebranded as the Galaxy S Relay 4G?

We had our hopes up that the date in the calendar on the Samsung Galaxy Blaze Q was a clue to a launch or at least an announcement date. As you all know by now, neither happened. There could be a hundred different reason why it wasn’t released to the wild though. Maybe the date in the image was just to get people excited.  Tmonews is reporting  a name change hitting the device though. According to them, T-Mobile will now be calling the Galaxy Q the Galaxy S Relay 4G.  Taking aim at making sure people know it is a 4G phone and ‘Relay’ to signify the keyboard. A device name change goes deeper than just a new poster or updates in the system. It has to be inserted into the device, the literature, the box, the advertising and much more. It is possible that the Blaze Q was always just a code name and the Relay 4G was always the original name.

No matter what the reason, August 15th was never set in stone to begin with. We still speculate that it will be announced and arriving soon though. Until T-Mobile makes an official announcement, or someone leaks some paperwork for it, we will just sit here in the dark and twiddle our thumbs.
