Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G update out, ICS coming Soon

For those of you sporting a Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G with T-Mobile, you might be happy to know there is an OTA rolling out for your device today. The firmware version will be T769UVLF4 and only brings in a few minor bug fixes to your device. Most all of which are pretty small fixes like E911 issue over Wi-Fi, Echo issue when on Hearing Aid compatibility call and Proximity Sensor improvements. The file size is only 15.7MB’s and you’ll need 20MB’s of space available to install the update. While this isn’t anything amazing, you should probably go ahead and install it when you get a chance. If you don’t get the OTA, they will be releasing the files to Samsung Kies for you to manual update at your leisure.

On to some much better news though. At the beginning of the Software Update page at T-Mobile support they offer a little bit if Ice Cream Sandwich news. It looks like Samsung and T-Mobile are working on an ICS update for the Galaxy Blaze 4G, but a release date or time frame is still TBD. That is kind of exciting news, isn’t it?
