Samsung Galaxy S Plus gets Android 5.0The Samsung Galaxy S Plus gets Android 5.0 - I never really expected to be typing those words in the same sentence together, but I should know better than to doubt the Android development community. Thanks to XDA developer, Christopher83, the almost-four-year-old Samsung Galaxy S Plus will get get a second lease on life, a life littered with Android Lollipop snazziness, thanks to this unofficial Cyanogenmod 12 ROM. Of course, the Galaxy S Plus has had quite a following with Cyanogenmod 10 and 11 builds tiding it over from its original Gingerbread release.

Samsung Galaxy S Plus gets Android 5.0Unlock some of the other Android 5.0/Cyanogenmod 12 ROMs floating around, this one is already extremely functional with almost everything under the sun already functional, including GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Camera and even USB OTG. Of course, it does still have a few niggling issues including camera force closing during 720p video capture and laggy UI during calls, but the fact that this ROM exists at all is a testament to the device and its community. If anybody has a Samsung Galaxy S Plus, now might be a good time to break it out again. Hit the source link below if you’re interested in trying it out.
