Samsung releases Ice Cream Sandwich source code for Galaxy S II

Samsung might not always have an amazing track record getting updates out to their devices. It isn’t always their fault, the carriers to play a n integral role as well. They do however keep their open source portal pretty well updated. Last week Samsung dropped the Ice Cream Sandwich update (Android 4.0) to various regional versions of the Galaxy S II.  While this doesn’t mean you can pop over and snag the source and flash away. it does mean the devs have the official source to work with now. Making their tinkering and sharing a little easier.

If you are one of those talented types of people, point your browser to Samsung’s Open Source Portal. You will need to search out model number (GT-I9100) to locate the download and start digging in. Good luck guys, we can’t wait to see what this can do for your ROM progress.
