Samsung Shows Off Exynos quad-core Tablets?

Samsung is strutting their stuff again, this time at the International Solid-State Circuits Conference happening in San Francisco. The star of the show here was not the tablets Samsung brought to the conference. The star was the heart inside those tablets, Samsung’s quad-core Exynos processor. “The processor has four Arm Cortex-A9 cores running at 200MHz to 1.5GHz, quad-core ARM Mali graphics, a 64-bit NEON media engine and dual-channel controller that supports LP-DDR2, DDR2 and DDR3 memory.” We knew we would eventually see these beasts as Samsung is already running a dual-core Exynos processor in some of its products such as the international Galaxy Note. Samsung is claiming  30-50% better performance with their quad-core Exynos versus their dual-core Exynos, they are also saying that we will see better battery life with these chips. Of course this is normal, who would produce a faster chip that didn’t deliver better performance and better battery life.
