Samsung Spica i5700 – AOSP Froyo Port and Some Goodies

Another Samsung with froyo, the hard way, way to stick it to the man. While’s it’s been available for a little while now, I figured maybe it needed some recognition. At this time it’s stable, and everything’s working. It comes with ADW Launcher v1.3.3 pre-installed, as well as Samdroid.net’s recovery v0.1.3.b6, and the file manager from CyanogenMod.

Installation is pretty basic, apply to SD card, back-up existing ROM, boot into recovery, flash the zip file, wipe data/cache from recovery which will result in loss of all user data, reboot and enjoy. A download link, more installation instructions, and release updates can be found here. For further development including bug reports and issues visit this thread.

[Lk2.xx is required to flash. Here’s a link to one.]

Now for some other goodies.

[Sorry for such little information as I don’t own this phone I can’t really flash it and try it for myself. Just furthering the development. =P]

Just like every other modification we post about. We do not take responsibility for any damage done to your phone by flashing or using any of these ROMs/tools. Flash at your own risk if you’re not sure about it, don’t do it.
