Seven Days of Unboxing continues with a Metal Artist’s impression of the Galaxy S7

There’s advertising, and then there’s things that are a little bit too abstract for our taste. Samsung is straying awfully close to the latter with its latest string of ads, titled the Seven Days of Unboxing. As the descriptive name might suggest, Samsung has been putting up a video for the last four days and will continue to do so until February 21st when the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge are expected to be launched, but until then, these videos are going to suffice. Day 4 sees Sara the Metal Artist unbox the Galaxy S7 in an enclosed room, observing it for 30 seconds, and then making her interpretation of what the Galaxy S7 is. Check out the video:

Sara follows on from an ice sculptor, child and llama, who have each given their take on the device, each only slightly less abstract than the last. It’s hard to tell exactly what message Samsung is trying to get across here, but given Samsung’s penchant for the abstract, it might just be an artistic hyping exercise that creates intrigue rather than overtly advertises their device. Regardless, we’ll be keeping our eye on these ads for the next few days just in case.
