Sprint blocks tethering apps in Android Market, we provide a Workaround

Sprint is the latest (and last of the four major carriers) to block wireless tethering apps in the Android Market. Following suit with T-Mobile, Verizon, and AT&T, Sprint is now making these types of applications unavailable for download on any device connected to the Now Network. While I’m sure this news will disappoint more than a few of our readers, there’s a bit of good news. While Sprint can block certain types of apps from the Android Market from being downloaded to devices on their network, they can’t  do a thing about what you choose to sideload on your device.

If you still need your tethering capabilities, all you need to do is head over to this page and grab the app. Load it up, tether away, and send Sprint a nice email letting them know how you feel about all the changes they’ve been making over the past few weeks.
