Sprint’s Epic 4G getting OTA update, fixes FC issues when receiving a Call

Looks like another update for a another Samsung device is rolling out today too. While it isn’t the wondrous news of ICS landing for the Samsung Epic 4G, it is supposed to at least fix a major issue many have been dealing with. That issue being force close errors when receiving a call. Talk about a serious pain in the neck to deal with. The update will also bring Sprints Connection Optimizer. Hopefully making things run a little smoother for those of you that haven’t upgraded to a newer device yet.

The update is rolling out as an OTA and should hit all users devices over the next six weeks. It will bump your device to software version S:D700.0.5S.FC09. With the update having very little included in it, the file size should be relatively small. You might have a little luck hitting up the settings and checking for updates, but that doesn’t always work. So just be on the look out for it, especially if you have been suffering with incoming call bug.
