Star Command goes loud with release trailer, blows $%&* up

Star Command

If you’ve been anywhere near the indie/kickstarter gaming scene in the past year or so, you would have heard the name Star Command floating around as one of the most anticipated games of this year since its Kickstarter finished.

Star Command is the brain child of Warballoon, which comes on the heels of its spiritual indie cousin, FTL (Faster Than Light), a Steam PC title which depicted addictive ship-to-ship space combat. Star Command is a real-time strategy game which focuses more on the action that occurs on-board the spaceships themselves. It looks to have an in-depth story and large array of painstakingly created alien races to face off against.

Warballoon, who has been quite tightlipped about release dates, has finally put up their release trailer showing some wonderfully pixellated game play. Apart from showcasing the awesome art style of the game play, the trailer also drops the release date for iOS which is May 2 and shows that Android is coming soon. As far as I can tell from their Twitter account, Android porting is currently full steam ahead. Check out the trailer below.
