T-Mobile adds 11 more music services to Music Freedom Revolution

T-Mobile has been pushing the boundaries of what they offer their customers over the last year or so with a variety of services that won’t touch your data package. The most recent one tossed streaming video from a select few providers, but the one that started it all was Music Freedom. Today, T-Mobile has announced that they are expanding the streaming music services with 11 new additions making the total number of services you can rock out with to 44.

The new services include the following:

  • Aud.io High-fidelity internet radio
  • Dash Radio DJ-driven radio, zero commercials, 24/7
  • DatPiff Mixtapes, hip hop music, videos and underground
  • Jango Internet radio that plays music you’ll love
  • KCRW Music discovery, NPR news, cultural exploration and informed public affairs
  • Noon Pacific A weekly mixtape of the best songs hand-picked from the best music blogs
  • Radio Danz The world’s pure dance channel
  • SomaFM Ambient, downtempo and chill beats from well-known and unknown artists
  • Spinrilla Hip-hop mixtape downloads and streams with no downloading limits
  • StreamOn Streaming music services powered by StreamOn. Next-level streaming products for the next era of radio
  • TuneIn Premium Access to every NFL, MLB, and Barclays Premier League game, over 600 commercial-free music stations, 40,000 audiobooks, and 16 language learning programs.

T-Mobile tossed out some stats that the un-carrier music freedom initiative streams more than 196 million songs daily. That is up 311% from when they initially launched the ability to stream tunes without using your data.

“Nearly 40% of people avoid streaming music on their phones – over half because they worry about big overages and bill shock – because the carriers tax and toll every note you stream,” said John Legere, president and CEO of T-Mobile.  “Where the carriers see another way to gouge you more, the Un-carrier sees another way to give you more freedom. With Music Freedom, you stream all the music you want − unlimited and unmetered. The way music is meant to be.”

If you are a current T-Mobile customer be sure to take full advantage of Music Freedom with some of the new additions.
