T-Mobile finally makes official announcement for two new Honeycomb Tablets

T-Mobile as a whole has done a prtty great job over the last year and half of expanding its collection of Android powered phones. They have gone from offering mediocre devices to offering some of the most popular and most powerful devices on the market. Even though their line up has received a much need boost, they still hadn’t pushed them selves fully into the tablet world. Sure they had a couple tablets come out like the Samsung Galaxy Tab. Since that though, there hasn’t been anything else available on the big magenta T. That is all about to change though.

Yesterday T-Mobile let loose a press release on their website officially announcing two new Honeycomb Android tablets. One of which we are all very familiar with, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. With 4G capabilities, a 10.1-inch HD screen, 1Ghz dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 chip and a slew of other wonders. The T-Mobile version of this power house tablet will also be pre-loaded with T-Mobile TV, Qello®, Samsung Media Hub, Asphalt 6: Adrenaline HD demo, SIM City Deluxe demo, Blio® eReader and Zinio®. All in all a great tablet that I have been wanting myself for quite some time.

The lesser know tablet that T-Mobile is slated to launch is the being dubbed the T-Mobile SpringBoard. Which we are assuming was the Huawei 4G tablet that was spied a little over a week ago. T-Mobile is boasting this as “one of T-Mobile‘s most affordable tablets.” Featuring a 7″ HD screen, a 1.2 GHz dual-core chip (no mention of manufacturer), 5MP rear-facing camera and a 1.3 MP front-facing camera. IT will include some good ole’ T-Mobile bloatware as always - BLOCKBUSTER on Demand®, Netflix® and T-Mobile TV, Blio® eReader, MobileLife® Family Organizer powered by Cozi, Slacker Radio and TeleNav GPS Navigatorâ„¢.

If the rumors of the SpingBoard come true, then we might see this hitting the shelves for a mere $200. That would truly make it an affordable tablet. Both of these new to T-Mobile tablets don’t have a set launch date at the moment, but they are said to be “available in time for the holidays at T-Mobile retail stores and at http://www.t-mobile.com.”
