The HTC Evo Gains Full Root Access

The HTC Evo has been fully rooted as the member, ToastCFH, over at XDA developers has unlocked the Nand protection issue that has been a problem thus far.

What does this mean?

Well before, in a previous post by ToastCFH known as part one,  the root access would allow you to write to/system through recovery only through a special recovery to write those permissions.

Now, part two allows users to unlock Nand protection on all partitions at all times via Engineering SPL. This allows you to get rid of unnecessary Sprint apps, flash Custom Rom’s and install custom recovery images via ROM Manager.

Head here for the first steps to Root your Evo.
