This Week’s Market-Fresh Apps

As you’ve likely heard from one source or another, Android Market is growing at a phenomenal pace with thousands of new apps being added each month. It’s a given that there are going to be some cool apps that you missed, and here some that might make your life a little better.

JUB Words

$0.99 Create a word list and select the word from the list to display. Designed to help a person communicate when speaking was not possible. Simple app, but effective. Can also be used for sight words when children start spelling.

This American Life

$2.99. Android application for the weekly public radio program This American Life, from Chicago Public Media. Features include on-demand access to the entire 400+ episode archive, link to the weekly live stream, sorting by contributor, personalized favorites lists, rare audio and video extras, and more.

Out of Milk

Free. Take your Shopping List with you everywhere in an intuitive and easy-to-use package. Scan products directly into your shopping list. The Spice Rack lets you inventory your spices which means you always know what spices are in your spice cabinet. A To-Do List lets you add and keep track of any other items on your daily list.
