Toys R Us is now going to be equipping children with the technology of the future. The retailer will be selling the Elonex Etouch tablet, which was displayed at IFA in Germany. The tablet will come with a 7 inch or 10 inch screen.
Etouch specs include:
- ARM 9 300mhz processor (7inch tablet)
- ARM 11 1GHz processor (10 inch tablet)
- Android 2.1 (10 inch tablet)
- Android 1.6 (7 inch tablet)
- 2gb ssd on board storage.
- Micro sd card slot
- 2.0 USB and mini Usb ports
- 3.5 mm headphone port.
- Microphone
- Stereo speakers
- Resistive LED touch screen.
Mike Coogan, marketing director for Toys R Us, expresses his assurance that selling an item of this caliber is going to increase sales. He also expresses how important it is for Toys R Us to reach out and encourage the younger generation with affordable technology. This tablet will include a 2 GB micro sd card, and a £89.99 price tag for the 7 inch, and £149.99 for the 10 inch.
