Undelete Beta might just save your images, docs, videos and more from permanent Deletion

have you ever been cruising trough your phone cleaning out files and accidentally delete something you really didn’t mean too? I am sure you have, I know I have done that a time or two. One of the nice things about PC’s is if you do the same thing there are tools to restore deleted files. They aren’t really gone usually unless the PC has overwritten that section of the hard drive. Same thing happens in your Android device. Be it on internal or external memory, the data is still there unless your device re-writes to that section of the storage.

In steps an app by Fahrbot Mobile, Undelete Beta. This application can help you recover deleted files as long as the area they were stored on has not been written over by something else. The app features –

– Fast scanning logic
– Restore any file that has not been written over
– Works with images, video, music, archives and binaries

The app currently only supports the FAT sile system and not EXT4 systems. On Tegra 2 devices only the external SD card is supported for recovery. Although the app is still in an active beta it has been tested on many devices. Known devices that work great with it are the Incredible S, Nexus S, Xoom, Transformer, Sensation, Galaxy S 1/2, Galaxy Ace and Desire. Many other devices are most likely supported but not tested on officially.

I am sure that developers will love this application and users will find it invaluable. There is one requirement needed for this app to work properly, you must have root access to your device. For those of you that aren’t rooted, well, can’t help you there. All I can ask is, Why? Feel free to pick it up below via the usual methods.

Application: Undelete Beta
