Update Hits AppBrain Brings More Awesomeness To Web And App

There are some of you out there that do not know about AppBrain or forget about AppBrain when it comes to browsing applications from the Android Market. If you don’t know about AppBrain, you might want to as they have just updated their Android Market application that brings many new features. The Android Market app is now at version 4.5. Have a look see below!

  • To change your phone’s wallpaper go to http://www.appbrain.com/my_apps, use the “Set Wallpaper” link on the right, and copy the URL to the image in the dialog box or upload the image from your computer. After saving it will immediately install the wallpaper on your phone.
  • You can also share the image with others by adding it to the public gallery of images: http://www.appbrain.com/wallpaper
  • Sending a website is just as easy: Copy the link from the address bar into the text box and click the ‘Send’ button. In case of a link, it will immediately open the website on your phone, and otherwise it will copy regular text directly to the phone’s clipboard.
  • To uninstall an app, just click the “Uninstall” button as before. With today’s update this will immediately open the uninstall dialog on your phone and you just need to confirm.

Once you download the app and sync your data, you’re ready to go. The direct updates of wallpapers, links and uninstall actions only work on devices running Android 2.2, but older phones are supported as well, but you need to sync the AppBrain application to update the wallpaper and receive the URL you sent to your device.
