US Cellular launches LG Splendor

Another new Android device has just been made available at US Cellular, the LG Splendor. The Splendor made a few leaks and rounds a little earlier in the month and is nnearly identical to the LG Optimus L7 that was seen and announced at Mobile World Congress. The Splendor just went on sale through US Cellular’s website for $79.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate. The device packs in a single-core Qualcomm MSM8655 processor clocked at 1.0GHz, 2GB of RAM, a 4.3-inch display with a resolution of 800 x 480 and packs in Ice Cream Sandwich. It offers up just 2GB of internal storage but they do toss in a 4GB external SD car for free.

It might not be a super phone, but it does have LG’s QuickMemo for taking screenshots and adding in personal drawings or messages and DLNA support. If anyone is interested in taking a closer look feel free to pop over to USCellular.com. Word is it is only available online for the time being.
