Verizon LTE being flipped on in Roanoke Nov 17th, more cities coming in Dec

Everyone loves to hear about their carrier adding further support in more areas. Verizon is no slouch when it comes to upgrading their network around the nation, even though it does take some time for them to do it. At least they are out there giving it a go. With so many new devices head to Big Red, they certainly needed to expand their 4G coverage to prompt more customers to buy those devices.

On November 17th Verizon will be flipping the switch on in Roanoke which will hook up downtown, Smith Mountain Lake, Christiansburg, Radford City, Buena Vista City, Lexington City and Rockbridge to the broadband service. That will cover nearly 300,000 people. Should make you guys in that area on the Verizon network rather happy.

On December 15th the LTE services will become available in Indiana Pennsylvania, White Township, the Indiana University of PA campus, Homer City and Blairsville.

If you live around any of those areas you probably never would have expected to see a 4G upgrade anytime soon. It is nice to see Verizon putting all that money they make on their customers bills to good use.
