Effective July18TH, we can see Verizon’s systems getting an update to support future 4G devices. We knew Verizon was working on LTE services and  we are not expecting an LTE compatible device until 2011. These are just the first steps as they prepare for a systems overhaul, we can see they will be changing their ESN/MEID field in the system to “Device ID.” This is nothing major, just the first signs of an update we already knew was coming.
