Verizon Spokeswoman confirms Galaxy Nexus software update is coming Soon; No ETA

Galaxy Nexus Signal Strength Issue

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus has certainly seen its ups and downs since its inception. The year’s most talked about smartphone from Samsung first gave users in the UK troubles with a bug that caused the device’s volume to go haywire, while users in the United States have complained about issues with signal strength, less than a week from the phone’s launch.

According to a report from ComputerWorld, who spoke with Verizon spokeswoman Barbara Raney, an update is in the works, though Raney did not disclose any information about its availability. In an email response to CW, Raney insisted that “there is no issue with the performance of the device.” Furthermore, a handful of Big Red customers report being told by Verizon customer support to expect an update related to signal strength sometime in January.

Somebody isn’t owning up to the truth here, folks. The people experiencing these issues are either dreaming them up out of pure boredom, or Verizon is doing there best to cover up a party foul on their part. My bets are placed on the latter of the two. At any rate, we’ll keep our eyes peeled for anything more solid.
