[Update] Verizon’s Galaxy S II Will Have 4G LTE

This is good news, but at the same time not entirely unexpected. According to a tweet that was dropped by @VZWSupport, Verizon’s version of the Galaxy S II will be rocking 4G LTE data speeds.

This could put a hindrance in the sales of the Bionic. As far as we know when the Bionic launches it will only support 3G connectivity. With speculation of both devices headed to Big Red next month, it should be interesting to see how the numbers in sales work out.

This is all still unofficial information at this point. Until we can get actual specs and lock down concrete information, it is just all talk. It just gives you something to think about when it comes to your next device purchase.

Update: Looks like they were wrong. Which seems to be a reoccurring issue with VZWSupport’s twitter account. They got confused, it is the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, not the much more anticipated Galaxy S 2. The question still remains if the SGS2 will have 4G or not. Maybe this was a tactic to test the waters on if they should spend the time and effort to give it 4G or not.
