Video: Lenovo IdeaPad A1 7-inch tablet Unboxing

Lenovo IdeaPad Tablet A1

Today, I woke up to a nice little surprise waiting for me on my doorstep. As I stepped outside to saitisfy my nasty nicotine habit, I looked down to find a package containing the Lenovo Ideapad Tablet A1. Being the true nerd and Android enthusiast that I am, I was compelled to fire up the video camera and give you folks a look at what’s inside the box. As you’ll see in the video below, this device looks to be one that should please anyone looking for a 7-inch tablet who isn’t too stressed about having Ice Cream Sandwich or a mind-blowing quad-core processor.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be running this baby through the mud and back to give you a full-blown review, but this should hold you  over until then with a quick look at the device and a spec rundown to let you know what we’re working with. The IdeaPad A1 features a TI Cortext A8, 1GHz single core processor and comes running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). With an internal storage space 16GB and 512MB of RAM, the specs shape up quite nicely for an affordable Android tablet. The device falls just under the two hundred dollar mark with a price tag of $199

Be sure to stay tuned in the coming weeks. I’ll be doing a full-fledged review that should be more than enough to base your decision upon as to whether this should be the next Android device added to your collection.
