Video sharing Vine app finally makes it to Android

Vine for Android Free
Twitter announced this morning that Vine for Android has finally been launched. Twitter picked up Vine just before it went live on iOS and has been eagerly anticipated by many Android users. Twitter also mentioned that the Vine app, just as it was coming on to Android, already had 13 million users. That number is sure to jump dramatically with today’s announcement on Android.

The Vine app lets you take short little looping video clips to share with your friends, family and the public. You can upload unlimited little videos, instantly post to Vine then share to Facebook and Twitter. No G+ in there of course. They do mention that more social sharing will be coming soon though. It definitely has some potential to be great, but it is missing one key component. The app currently doesn’t support the front facing camera. They say that functionality is coming soon. Still, seems like they should have waited for this function of the app to work before launch. No doubt the lack of front facing camera support will keep a lot of users from jumping in right now.
