Xbox SmartGlass adds tablet support in newest update

Xbox Smartglass for Android
Xbox fans will be happy to learn that the newest update to Xbox SmartGlass includes support for Android tablets 7” and larger. Initially, the app could only work with smartphones. SmartGlass was released back in October, providing a more interactive experience with Xbox content. Users can navigate and search, use the phone’s keyboard to type, and browse the Internet on Xbox 360, all with an Android smartphone or tablet.

Several games are compatible with SmartGlass, including Halo 4 and Forza Horizon. HBO, ESPN, and Xbox Music are also accessible with the app, along with several movies and live events.

Update 1.5 will also now stay awake without sleeping during periods of inactivity, so users can take a break without having to reconnect. The update will also include numerous design, usability improvements, and some bug fixes. Xbox fans will now be able to use SmartGlass on a variety of Android-powered gadgets, since the previous update only included support for tablets up to 7″.

The update can be downloaded in the Google Play Store.
