Ads headed to your Instagram feed, are you Excited?

It really isn’t surprising that Instagram will be putting ads in your Instagram feed. They do need to make money somehow on a free app. The company has recently announced that over the next couple of months you might begin to see some ads appearing your feed if you are a US user. There will be photos and videos from brands that you don’t already follow, so don’t panic.

From their announcement it sounds like you might not notice them too much. It won’t be some crazy “take over your screen mid sentence” type of advert. Instagram also mentions that you will have some control over it all by allowing you to hide ads. However, they also mention they will ask for your feedback on what didn’t feel right and why you hid it.
