Another Samsung Galaxy S IV Render being Distributed, will Samsung go Metal this Year?

It is hard not to get caught up in leaks, renders, thoughts and talks about what Samsung will be doing when it comes to the next Galaxy device. We know Samsung is working on the Galaxy S IV. There is no question about that. We know that a few various leaks and reports seem to be saying a lot of the same thing in terms of specs. While we don’t know anything 100% yet, we still like to see what is being talked about and distributed. The latest render to start making its rounds sure does look pretty spectacular.

Samsung Galaxy S IV Render
You can see in the image that it offers a few different viewing angles and out lines many of the physical specs that we all think are going to be pretty close to spot on. For instance, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with some sort of enhanced TouchWiz UI is expected. We would love Key Lime Pie to be the OS of choice, but with the rumor of the S IV coming out sometime in April, it wouldn’t give Samsung enough time to build it and test it by launch. We see a 5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED Plus display, 2 GHz A15 Exynos 5450 quad-core CPU and 2GB of RAM. That all seems possible. Even moving the camera to a 13 MP camera a 2 MP front shooter are choices that we think Samsung will make on the next flagship device.

None of the specs listed are anything new that we all haven’t seen roaming the web already. There is mention of a 3100 mAh battery vs the 2600 mAh battery that we have heard of before. Not that we would complain about a Note sized battery in the device.

As for the render design? It honestly reminds me of HTC. The metal looking housing, the front facing speakers at the bottom and a dedicated camera/multi function button. At first glance I thought of the HTC Nexus One and the HTC Surround. It just doesn’t scream SAMSUNG to me.

Of course this is in no way official or a leak of any sorts. It is just something we stumbled across and wanted to share. Personally I like the look of the other rumored blurry cam shot of the S IV. What do you guys think? Do you like the idea of Samsung possibly headed to metal? Does that design make you jump up and down?
