Official Ice Cream Sandwich update is live for HTC Thunderbolt Owners

Four days ago we let all you out there with an HTC Thunderbolt know that Verizon was close to giving you Ice Cream Sandwich. We saw some comments floating around about people pulling it from their drawers and dusting it off to check out the update. When we posted the PDF’s, we didn’t have set date for its official release. We now see confirmation that the LONG awaited ICS update is starting to hit devices.

As mentioned before, the update brings in a modern look for your Thunderbolt. Giving you access to Holo-styled apps in the Play Store, the notification area from the lock screen and of course Sense 3.6. Let’s hope the update goes through without a hitch. If you are still rocking the TBolt, you can head into settings and look under “About Phone’ to see if you can snag it. Be sure you have well over 50% charge and a solid WI-Fi connection to pick it up. Let us know how it goes.
