Apex Launcher sheds beta clothing and dresses up for Google Play

Joining the ranks of Nova Launcher, Apex Launcher has made its way from the depths of development to a full-fledged app on Google Play. While I am certain many of you wish you could have this launcher, it is only available on Android 4.0 and up. It offers a huge amount of customization with all the look and feel of the stock ICS launcher we already love. You get the new fancy transition animations, hide pesky onscreen elements like the Google Search bar, status bar or even the dock. The feature list is rather extensive and warrants a read all on its own. The devs offer up a few tips on the description page as well to help get you going.

There is one downside though. There always is isn’t there? You won’t be able to add widgets from the app drawer unless you install Apex as a system app. That process requires root, a little bit of knowledge and reading skills. The good news is that they made the launcher free in the Google Play Store. No Pro version or any purchase of any sorts required. Pop on over to the Play via the QR code below by wither clicking or scanning on it. Let us know how it compares to Nova if you have it.
