Archos lets the cat out in 3 weeks, Gen 10 tablet to have keyboard dock Too?

Archos has been in the tech biz for quite some time. They have been making everything from Android tablets, to Android based home phones and many other products. Some people love their products, others, not so much. The price points on the tablets were pretty decent, the specs were pretty good and having HUGE storage options of 250GB made them a pretty awesome tablet if for nothing else then loading it full of media on for on the go.

Now it sounds like Archos is looking to up their game a little bit with the Gen 10 tablet line that will be fully relieved in 3 weeks. They took to their twitter and Facebook accounts with an image of the upcoming device as a little teaser of what is to come. It does look pretty darn slick. A video that Archos release back in March does a little more than hint at an option keyboard dock kinda like ASUS does with the Transformer line.

Although Archos hasn’t had an amazing track record with software updates or even amazingly stellar hardware specs, we still like what they produce. We can hope that they will put Android Jelly Bean on their latest offering, but we are a bit more inclined to lean towards Ice Cream Sandwich. We would also like to see a quad-core, but more than likely a dual-core. The perks of the keyboard and most likely having their usual 250GB hard drive inside, still could make this a great tablet to own. Also judging by the name, G10, it should be a 10-inch screen and if the purpose of showing the tablet at the angle they did in the image is to suggest viewing angles, then the display should be greatly improved over previous models.

Anyone out there going to be checking this new tablet out when Archos makes their announcement? Sure, it isn’t a Nexus 7, but if Archos can offer enough goodies inside and keep the price around $250 or so, it should be a something worth looking at. Maybe we are just being optimistic.
