Enomther’s TheOfficial DONUT TMO, ADP, AOSP updated to v2.6.2

Enomther’s TheOfficial Donut ROM has been updated to v2.6.2. This build has been around for quite a while, and has always been a great build for users looking for a simple rooted build, with a few extras.

Prior to this past release (v2.6.1) users were looking at a fairly stock Android build after install, until they used the “expsetup” app in terminal, which allowed for more customization of built-in apps, CPU frequencies & scaling, and swap options.

With the introduction of this past version (v2.6.1), Enomther has introduced a new setup wizard, code-named “GUSTO” (Gui To Set-up TheOfficial), which almost entirely replaces the options which used to be available only through “ExpSetup” in terminal. Although “ExpSetup” made things fairly easy for customization, it required numerous reboots, and had to be used within the terminal app. The new GUSTO gui makes the set-up process significantly easier and more user-friendly.

The v.2.6.2 is mainly a patch for a couple of bugfixes from v.2.6.1. If you haven’t had the chance to take a look at GUSTO or Enomther’s great Donut ROM, I highly suggest you check it out. It is quite fast, stable, and easy to configure.

Changelog v2.6.2 – 3/4/2010
– fixed – Issue with reboot commands (MetaMorph/Terminal and the like apps should work fine now)
– fixed – Issues with installing GoogleMaps from Market (or alternate)
-== All 2.6.1 themes are still GOOD, so just apply the new expansion

As usual you can head over to Enomther’s AndroidStory Developer Homepage for more info and downloads.
