Epic 4G Touch users say adiós to bloatware the easy Way

Bloatware is not something that any Android user is a fan of. Many of the apps that are pre-installed on your device at the time of purchase can drain battery, cause slowness and eat up free space. As a user you don’t have much of a choice but to keep it on your device. They rarely ever offer you a way to remove them yourself. Custom ROMs and developers help out with this and take out things that  aren’t needed. But some ROMs leave them installed. Then it is up to you to remove them yourself. Navigating through countless pages and trying to learn what apps can safely be removed without causing issues with your device. The guessing game can really ruin your day.

With developers constantly working their magic for the end-users, a new tool has emerged. Thanks to XDA member Calkulin. If you have been around the block a few times with your Epic 4G Touch, then his name should ring a bell. He produces a lot of custom work for the device. One of his contributions for the E4GT is a zip that you can easily flash through ClockworkMOD. It is all self sufficient and snoops out all the apks and that your device doesn’t need and yanks them out for you. The list of things it removes is rather large and makes you wonder why they have so much garbage hanging around. Calkulin says the file will work on any Gingerbread or Ice Cream Sandwich based ROM currently installed on your E4GT device.
