[First Look] Samsung Ativ Q

Ativ Q

Arguably the prettiest piece of hardware at the party, the Samsung Ativ Q is straight up beautiful.  The screen flipping up to reveal the keyboard, the premium feeling body (that’s magnesium in the back!), the solid construction.  GORGEOUS!

At 13.3“ and 1.29 Kg, this “tablet” is one hell of a slab. But with a built in full qwerty keyboard and multi angle screen, all could be forgiven.

Packing a qHD+ Screen at 1300×1800 (275 DPI!) with a 178 degree viewing angle that viewable in full sunlight, not much has been left to chance, you can use the Ativ Q anywhere!

It’s a Dual OS device, running Android 4.2.2 and Windows 8 side by side. Switching between the two is absolutely seamless, just swipe out the control panel on the right side of the screen and hit the Windows Start button to change OS, and the same again to switch back.

Storage wise, the Samsung Ativ Q will come with SSD storage up to a whopping 256 GB, and if that’s not enough it’s also equipped with a microSD card slot. With 4GB of DDR3L RAM multitasking should be a breeze.

Connectivity shouldn’t be a problem either; with Wifi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, 1 x USB 3.0, 1 x USB 2.0, micro HDMI and Gigabit Ethernet provided by an adapter, you should be able to connect to pretty much anything!

No word on pricing or availability as yet, but when details are released we’ll announce them here on AndroidStory.
