Ice Cream Sandwich OTA hitting Nexus S devices for Google Emplyees

Wouldn’t it be amazingly great if the Nexus S received an official ICS build before the Galaxy Nexus ever got launched on Verizon? If things continue they way there are, it might just happen. According to some internal Google employees, they have been receiving some OTA updates for ICS on their Nexus S devices. All for testing purposes of course. They are merely tell everyone that a build is in the works and they are already testing it. Reports state it is looking awesome and working great so far. This will be the first of many test phases I am sure, so don’t expect your Nexus S to be granted an update just yet.

It is still good news though. The Nexus S is shaping up to most likely be the first device to get an official update. Unless another manufacturer manages to sneak out there first. If I had to guess who might launch an update before Google, I’d say the Transformer Prime is at the top of my list.
