Ice Cream Sandwich Ported to a Samsung Galaxy S Phone

Seems like every couple of days, a new phone is added to the list to get some of that deliciousness, Ice Cream Sandwich, we all want. Well Samsung Galaxy S owners will be happy to hear that XDA developers,  galnet and lttldvl, have taken it upon themselves to port over the new OS to the Galaxy S. Now this should make your Galaxy S pretty excited, because it seemed that since the SDK was dropped, a lot of the other non SGS devices were getting their ports leaving everyone with the question, when are we getting the port? I know Stormy was just a little bit (actually a lot) jealous when he heard that my phone, the T-Mobile G2, had got its early port before his phone. Now let’s see who gets the first stable ROM.

So of course this is very much in its alpha stage, so hardly anything works but it was worth mentioning to get more people excited about getting ICS on their devices. I’m sure when a ROM gets released, we will place it in our XDA-Developers
